November 2026 Release
Dearest Advocates,
As the holidays draw near, our thoughts turn to you. Whether you joined us at the estate this year or followed along from afar, you are at the heart of all we do and the inspiration behind all we create. Every vintage carries with it the care of our team, the character of this land, and the anticipation of the moment our wines find their way to your table. We are deeply grateful to share that journey with you.
This season’s release brings four wines, including two debuts, each with a story of its own and each a reflection of the places and people behind it.
We begin with the 2023 Family Ranches Chardonnay, a debut that brings together fruit from Adam’s, Susanna’s, and Quail Hill vineyards. Each contributes something distinct: the youthful opulence of Adam’s, the bright acidity of Susanna’s, and the concentration and structure of Quail Hill. Together, they capture the character of our estate vineyards in a single wine, which Wine Spectator described as focused, with an appealing mix of floral, citrus, and white peach.
Alongside it is the 2023 Block 10 Pinot Noir, drawn from a small, east-facing block at Quail Hill Vineyard. The block receives the first light of morning and falls into shadow earlier in the day, conditions that preserve the fruit’s natural acidity and lend the wine its distinctive character. It has long been a favorite among our members, and we are delighted to share another vintage with you.
For our 3-bottle members, we are pleased to release the 2022 Young Vines Pinot Noir. Drawn from the youngest Pinot Noir plantings at Quail Hill, this wine reflects the evolution of a vineyard we have been farming for more than four decades. We held it back and cellared it with care so that it could be shared at just the right moment, and that moment is now.
Finally, we are honored to introduce the 2023 Hessel Station Vineyard Pinot Noir, the first release from our newest estate vineyard. Just beyond the site of the historic Hessel depot, this stretch of South Sebastopol is now a landscape of vines, their rows following the path of the old rail bed. Shaped by the cool coastal winds of South Sebastopol, this wine arrives with a 97-point rating from James Suckling. With just 348 cases produced, this inaugural release is reserved for our 6- and 12-bottle members, with a purchase opportunity for 3-bottle members to follow, as availability permits.
You, our Advocates, are the reason we get to make wines like these. Your trust, loyalty, and enthusiasm have carried Lynmar further than we could have imagined. As these wines make their way to your tables and into the company of those you love, we hope they bring you as much joy in the sharing as they have brought us in the making.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Lynmar Estate Team
Pairing Suggestions and Recipes
To explore the synergy of land and table, Estate Chef David Frakes invites you to enjoy these pairings specifically tailored for your wine collection:
The 2023 Block 10 Pinot Noir is a natural match for Roasted Duck. Its acidity keeps the wine fresh against the richness of the butter-basted skin, and its long, plush tannins give the dark plum and mixed berry fruit the structure to stand up to the paprika-spiced crust.
The 2022 Young Vines Pinot Noir brings out the best in Olive Oil-Poached Delicata Squash with Spiced Pepitas. The wine’s dried herb aromas pick up the thyme and sage in the poaching oil, while its cinnamon and bright red fruit suit the apple butter and the char from the grill.
Silky and medium-bodied, the 2023 Hessel Station Pinot Noir suits the delicate, earthy Wild Mushroom Parcel. Finely integrated tannins leave room for the mushrooms and cream, and notes of dried lavender and cocoa powder meet the chervil and tarragon inside the parcel.
For the 2023 Family Ranches Chardonnay, we suggest Venetian Rice and Corn. Bright, fresh acidity and a lemon note cut through the butter, Parmesan and pancetta, while the wine’s brioche and coconut cream flavors play off the sweetness of the corn.
As always, Chef David reminds us that the seasoning or sauces of a dish may be modified to balance the wine by adjusting salt, acid, and other reactive ingredients.
