September Advocates Release

Dearest Advocates,

As we begin our 44th harvest at Quail Hill Vineyard, our hearts are filled with gratitude. The crush pad at the top of Quail Hill is busy, as the winemaking team and interns sort and destem grapes before they are transferred into fermentation tanks and begin their transformation into what will be the 2024 vintage. Our tasting room team is kept on their toes as our members and guests wander the colorful gardens before sitting down to enjoy Chef David’s latest four course Pinot Noir and Chardonnay paired meal. The garden team is busy harvesting tomatoes, apples, pears, garlic, strawberries, squash and so much more. It’s crazy and exciting and joyful!

We are grateful for you, our cherished members. Last month we unveiled a new wall installation with the names of the 900+ members who have been in the Advocates Club for ten years or more. That’s 10 harvests, 40 club shipments, and many, many births, anniversaries, graduations, and celebrations. We salute you, and we want everyone that comes on property to know that you are at the heart of everything we do.

Over the decades (and yes, we have many 15 and 20-year members in the group), you have become family and your feedback, requests, ideas and collaboration make us better each day. We asked you all recently what you most valued about Lynmar, other than our exceptional wine and more than 70% of you said it was the fact that we are family owned and operated. Thank you, we are honored by your trust.

We are grateful for our team. Each year, right before harvest, we invite every member of the Lynmar team and their families to our home for the annual employee party. There is something about this gathering that reconnects us at a level that is deeper than the work we love. As our families gather together and share this experience year after year, we become invested in each other’s wellbeing. We are reminded that our stories intersect in this journey through life and it becomes easier to walk in the others shoes. So, as we begin our 44th harvest at Quail Hill Vineyard our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Cheers to a bountiful harvest, and to the community that makes it possible.

Warmly,

Lynn and Anisya Fritz

Estate Chef David Frakes has shared the following as it relates to your most recent Lynmar wine releases:

The juicy depth of Monastery Chardonnay is balanced by bright acidity making it a winning combination alongside Chef David’s Amaranth-Crusted Sea Bass with Confit Tomato & Curry Oil.

For a warm and comforting course, pair Susanna’s Vineyard Pinot Noir to Asiago Polenta with Mushrooms. With this recipe that serves eight people, it is a great dish to make for friends and family!

When serving the prestigious Anisya’s Blend Pinot Noir, it deserves an elevated pairing. Here, Chef David recommends Duck Breast with Roasted Fennel to accompany this stunning and elegant red wine.

As always, Chef David reminds us that the seasoning or sauces of a dish may be modified to balance to the wine by adjusting salt, acid, and other reactive ingredients.
